Dynamic Baseball Updated Class of 2018 Rankings

Dynamic Baseball is excited to release our updated Overall Player Rankings for our 2018 class coverage area (VA, NC, MD, NJ, PA and DEL). This class is a deep and talented class and lots of prospects should be high follows for next year’s MLB Draft. A recent USC commit, Owen White of Jesse Carrson (NC) holds on to the #1 spot in our rankings. White features a low to mid 90s fastball with feel for his secondary stuff. A two way prospect White has shown that he can handle the bat as well.

Top Raisers

Ryan Archibald- The Maryland commit has impressed our scouting staff with his two way potential at the next level. He is a primary 3B but can also slide over and play SS as well. He has great feel for the barrel hitting from the left side with gap to gap power. On the mound Archibald sits in the upper 80s with an above average breaking ball.

Ethan Murray- A Duke commit, Murray is another outstanding two way prospect. Murray sat 87/89 with his fastball this spring with a clean delivery and a quick arm. At the plate Murray has shown an outstanding hit tool.

Will Wagner- The Liberty recruit has made major strides in his game this spring showing an above average hit tool and the ability to use the whole field. His arm strength has improved across the diamond as well as his defensive ability in the field.

Tyler Cassagrande- An Arizona recruit, Cassagrande has improved his hit tool since last spring and summer. He has added strength to his frame and it has shown this spring with his ability to drive the baseball to all parts of the field.

Kyle Horton- The USC commit is one of the most tooled up players in the state of Virginia. A potential 5 tool player Horton is a plus runner and has shown off his arm strength from the outfield and on the mound. On the mound he has been up to 91 this spring.

Wes Clarke- The USC commit is an outstanding receiver behind the dish to along with his strong arm. Clarke has shown major power potential at the plate and has been a very consistent bat for a loaded LCA squad this spring.

Trendon Craig- An uncommitted OF prospect Craig is a big time masher. He has shown off his power numerous times this spring and his ability to drive the baseball to all parts of the field. If you are a college coach looking for a 2018 OF who can come in and hit from day 1 this could be your guy.

New Additions

Max Harper- Our scouting staff has seen this uncommitted 1st baseman play a couple times this spring we leave impressed each time. He consistently barrels baseballs and does it with ease and shows off major power. He also has shown solid foot work and the ability to pick it around the bag

Cam Grimes- An uncommitted 3B Grimes has shown a good tool set this spring. He has soft hands and a strong arm across the diamond. At the plate he has shown gap to gap power and is also a tough out. He has hopped on the bump in relief situations for Hanover this spring and has been up to 90.

Jon Rivard- An uncommitted prospect Rivard has shown a sound tool set this spring. He has shown great plate coverage at the plate and is extremely athletic. Rivard is an interesting prospect.

Donte Fairchild- Fairchild is a super athletic OF prospect who attends Spotsyvlania in Virginia. He has plus speed in the OF and on the bases. He is a threat to steal bases at any time. At the plate Fairchild has shown the ability to drive the baseball.
