Dynamic Baseball Updated Class of 2019 Overall Player Rankings (Spring)May 18, 2017
Dynamic Baseball is excited to release our Overall 2019 Player Rankings for our coverage states of Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. There are a handful of top prospects in this class our scouting staff has seen this fall. Holding on to the #1 spot in the rankings is UNC commit RHP Brennan Malone. Malone features a low 90s fastball with feel for his secondary stuff and is a top arm not only in our coverage area but in the country. Below are some top raisers, new additions followed by the updated top 50.
Zach Agnos- The recent ECU commit moves up to #5 in our rankings after the impressive spring he has had this far. Our staff has seen him up to 92 this spring on the mound with feel for his secondary. Agnos has two way potential at the next level as he is a +defender to along with a solid hit tool.
Clark Burroughs- The uncommitted catcher has shown solid receiving and catch and throw skills behind the dish. At the plate Burroughs has shown power potential and is aggressive at the plate as he attacks fastballs early in counts.
KC Hunt- An uncommitted RHP/MIF has shown some tools off this spring. Per our source in New Jersey who has seen him on the mound there is tremendous upside. He has been working in the 86/88 range with his fastball while touching 89.
Cortland Lawson- An uncommitted MIF/RHP Lawson is a super athletic prospect with good size. He has made strides both defensively and at the plate. He is a prospect to follow closely this summer has he should be a highly sought after recruit.
Nick Maldonado- The Vanderbilt recruit has impressed this spring with his two way talents. He can sat in the upper 80s with his fastball to along with a potential plus breaking ball. He has shown he can handle the bat as well.
Matt Zuna- An uncommitted RHP who attends Chancellor High School in Virginia has been one of the top pop ups in the state. Our staff has seen him up to 87 this spring with a good breaking ball. He has a projectable frame with a quick arm and projects more velo in the near future.
Tyler Demartino- An uncommitted prospect who can play both INF and OF Demartino has shown off a nice hit tool. He is an athletic prospect with some pop in his bat who can use the whole field. He is a prospect to follow closely on the summer circuit.
Griffin Agee- The uncommitted LHP has tremendous size at 6'4. He has a loose quick arm and feel for his secondary. His fastball has been up to 85 this spring. He is another prospect who projects big long term.
Christian Gordon- An uncommitted LHP Gordon was very impressive this spring in front of our scouting staff. He sat 82/84 with his fastball while touching 85. He has a clean delivery with an easy and loose arm action. He has a starter type profile and will be a top prospect to follow this summer.
Justin Caesar- The uncommitted MIF prospect is small in stature but don't let that fool you. He is a plus defender in the field with athletic actions and a strong arm. At the plate he has a quick bat with pop and has shown he can hit velo.
