2020 OF Krys Downey-Simms
Downey-Simms is a product of Mauldin HS in South Carolina, smaller frame outfielder that plays with a lot of energy and possesses plus foot speed and hand speed at the dish. Stands in the box on the left side and showcases a quick twitch compact swing with lots of feel for the barrel. Kids always seems to hit. Can hit for some power to pull side and handles the stick well enough to take pitches soft away to the opposite field. In the outfield, Downey-Simms shows good instincts and above average speed. Takes good routes in the outfield and has a knack for chasing down balls in the gap. Arm lacks strength, but with added arm strength, Downey-Simms has a potential to be an every day college baseball player.

Wood is an ultra athletic outfielder, a product of St. Johns College High School in Maryland. Body shows big time promise with long frame that shows strength throughout. At 6'6 200 lbs Wood creates a lot of effortless leverage at the plate standing in on the left side. Stance is tall and relaxed and has very loose hands. Smooth left handed swing that is compact and also shows exceptional extension through the point of contact producing easy pop. Really has feel for barrel and has ability to spray balls all over the field with ease. Wood's strong arm from the OF also plays a big role in the projectibility with throws topping out at 85 from the OF. Recent Mississippi State commit has endless potential
